Jeevan Gaire

Jeevan Gaire is an environment expert and environmental engineer working on Environmental Impact Assessment and Initial Environmental Examination for water supply and sanitation schemes, roads, bridges, hydropower and airport development across Nepal.

His work runs the full statutory sequence: preparing Terms of Reference for EIA and IEE and taking them through approval, baseline environmental study, impact assessment, environmental management planning, water quality assessment, socio-economic study and environmental monitoring.

He has served as environment expert, environmental engineer, team leader and hydrologist, on assignments for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Management, the Federal Water Supply and Sewerage Management Project and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, among other government agencies.

Because his background combines environmental engineering with civil engineering and hydrology, he also supports detailed engineering survey, feasibility study and DPR preparation from the environmental side — identifying likely impacts early enough that the mitigation shapes the design rather than being appended to it.
