Sirjana Baral

Sirjana Baral is a sociologist with more than fifteen years in socio-economic studies and social development work on road and infrastructure assignments. She conducts socio-economic surveys, collects and analyses field data, prepares detailed socio-economic reports, and assesses the social and economic conditions of communities inside a project's influence area.

Her analysis covers demographic profiles, land-use patterns, trade, industry and commerce, health, education, transport, communication networks and administrative facilities. She prepares socio-economic studies supported by maps and sketches, assesses existing and planned community facilities, documents local conditions and identifies the potential social and economic impacts of infrastructure development.

She has contributed to road survey, design and engineering consultancy assignments as well as irrigation, water supply, hydropower and river training projects, working alongside multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating field activities.
