Federalisation moved a great deal of infrastructure decision-making to municipalities and rural municipalities that are now responsible for planning they were never resourced to do. A District or Municipal Transport Master Plan is the instrument that turns a list of local requests into a prioritised, costed programme — and it is only as good as the criteria behind the ranking.

The common thread is prioritisation under a real budget constraint: identifying what exists, what is needed, what each option costs, and which sequence delivers the most access for the money available.
Site selection work — for landfills in particular — is where planning meets our geological and hydrogeological capability. A landfill sited without understanding groundwater and slope stability creates a liability that outlives every official who approved it.
We also carried out the detailed feasibility study of an airport at Ramghat, Surkhet for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, which is planning work of a different kind: siting, terrain, approach surfaces and demand assessed together before capital is committed.

Common questions
Do you prepare DTMPs and MTMPs for local governments?
Yes — transportation master plans, both district and municipal, are a published specialisation. The work is as much about defensible prioritisation criteria as about the engineering, because the plan has to survive scrutiny from the wards that did not come first.
Can you assess a site for a landfill or a facility?
Landfill site planning and site selection are part of our planning scope, and we bring our own engineering geology and hydrogeology capability to them rather than treating siting as a purely spatial exercise.
